Dean Chu

With over 25 years of post experience, Dean Chu is a multifaceted finishing artist who has delivered a wide variety of television series, commercials, trailers, and music videos. Dean began his career at Pacific Ocean Post, where he was one of the first finishing artists in Los Angeles to utilize Flame. At Bedlam/Colorado, he delivered national spots for Mazda, El Pollo Loco, and many more. As the founder of Shapeshifter, Dean led the company from its roots in standard definition media into 4K post, d-cinema deliverables, and new media original content for Netflix and Hulu. In his tenure at Light Iron, Dean has supported a range of notable episodic titles. He holds a degree in Communications - Film and Television from Loyola Marymount University. Originally from Hawaii, his hobbies include surfing and skiing.
