A Collaboration With Panavision: John Seale, AM, ACS, ASC

Before going on to serve as cinematographer on such varied and beloved features as Witness, Rain Man, Dead Poet’s Society, The English Patient, The Perfect Storm and Mad Max: Fury Road, John Seale, AM, ACS, ASC got his start in the motion-picture industry working as a driver and film assistant for the Australian Broadcasting Corp. In this video, he shares lessons learned in his time with the ABC, as an operator, and as a cinematographer, including the importance of bringing an open-minded approach to each new project and always working to support and enhance the director’s vision for the story at hand.
