Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and His Royal Highness Prince Harry of Wales officially open Warner Bros.’ new film and television studio in the UK.

In April, Panavision London supported the official inauguration of Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in Hertfordshire, just outside London. As part of the event, we presented the latest film and television technologies and showcased our historical cameras, lenses and grip equipment.

Warner Bros. displayed props and costumes from the hugely successful ‘The Dark Knight’ trilogy, including costumes worn by Batman and the Joker and the iconic Batpod and Tumbler.

The Duke of Cambridge (who is also the President of BAFTA) inaugurated the new studio – which has already been host to Tom Cruise’s ‘All You Need is Kill’ (2014) and Lana and Andy Wachowski’s ‘Jupiter Ascending’ (2014) – with the click of a Panavision clapperboard.

Originally the home to all eight Harry Potter films, Warner Bros. has upgraded the entire site, creating over half a million square feet of state-of-the-art studio space.  Panavision is the only camera and grip supplier to be based at Leavesden, locating us in an ideal position to provide the best support possible for productions at the studio.
